A sweeter premium rice from Toyama. Grown in Nyuzen, an area of Toyama prefecture famous for its pure and fast flowing fresh spring waters, this Japonica rice has a unique flavour slightly sweeter than other Japanese rices, as well as the same slightly sticky texture of other Koshihikari rices. It is grown in an environment with nutrient-rich soil, snowmelt flowing from the Northern Alps, and summer temperatures suitable for rice growing. Because of its well-balanced luster, stickiness and sweetness, it is so popular that it is called number one rice in Japan.
Use to make sushi or serve on the side of other Japanese dishes.
